Scenic flight Säntis

Walensee, Churfirsten and Säntis. Explore with us the beautiful sights of Eastern Switzerland.

Program

Enjoy the view over the city of Zurich before we are heading along the Pfannenstil to Rapperswil-Jona. The symbol of the city, Rapperswil Castle, is surrounded by three beautiful gardens, where visitor can from June to October admire over 15000 roses from 600 different plant species. Now we are starting our climb towards Amden and the Speer. Ahead of us lies the fairytale-like Walensee and the distinctive peaks of the seven Churfirsten, their steep cliffs rising 1000m and almost vertically on its northern bank. We are approaching the Säntis, at 2502m the highest mountain in the Alpstein range. Popular with hikers, on clear days one can see Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, France and Italy from its peak. The return journey takes us over the Toggenburg and the Fischingen Abbey. The only monastery in Thurgau inhabited by monks. Passing by the Schnebelhorn, with 1292m Zurich´s highest mountain and the one-time industrial town of Winterthur, we are slowly starting our descent towards Zurich airport where this wonderful flight will end.
